5. Full Application for Residence
From the issue of an Invitation to Apply (ITA) you have four months in which to submit a full Application for Residence. This must be accompanied by all supporting documents. Immigration New Zealand then begins assessing you for permanent residence.
This stage may pass with very little additional work on your part or it may require a lot of work if the immigration officer processing your case requires clarification on your claims or differs in their interpretation of the current immigration policy.
The assigned immigration officer will examine every claim and every document and verify that every point claimed is valid. Once again, the more that has been ironed out ahead of time, the less time your application will take to be approved.
