2. The Expression of Interest
The Expression of Interest or "EOI" is the first official step in the government immigration process. In order to submit an EOI, you must have 100 points. However, not all EOIs with 100+ points will actually be selected. It is important to know how the pool draw works in order to decide whether it is worth submitting an EOI.
The EOI is a paperless process and its selection does not guarantee that residence will be successful. Approximately 50% of all EOIs fail for one reason or another. Common mistakes include claiming points for a qualification and/or work experience that are not, in fact, able to attract points.
If we have assessed you as eligible and you have signed up for our full visa service, we will submit an (EOI) on your behalf. Careful planning BEFORE submitting an EOI is required. The information that you put forward is critical and you will be expected to produce the documentary evidence to support it later on.
