Will the immigration authorities help me to prepare my application and make sure that everything is correct before applying?
In a word.. No! The Immigration Service is tasked with enforcing the current policies under the Immigration Act, this does not include providing one on one assistance for prospective migrants. They will assume that you have read through and know all of the requirements of your application before applying; this can result in multiple requests back to you for further information, documents or proof of points claimed. This can be time consuming, frustrating and can ultimately put the success of your move to New Zealand at risk.
